Thank you for all your prayers and well wishes. We finally arrived in Bismarck at 8 p.m. last night.
Whew! International travel with young children is not for sissies, haha! It’s almost 11:30 a.m. here on Saturday and Selah is STILL SLEEPING, almost 12 hours after we put her down for her first night at home. We are all checking in on her, silently hovering over her crib and waiting for her to wake up.
Our flights were all great. Our last flight from Minneapolis to Bismarck was delayed due to maintenance issues. Finally, Delta officials assigned us a different plane and gate and we were on our way.
We had a total of 8 flights in 17 days. I used to be one of those people who boarded a plane thinking, “Today, I am going to die.” LOL! I still hate to fly, but my heart rate was much slower on the flights home and I was able to relax and not be consumed by the thought of being 6 miles above ground. Now I can honestly tell you that the next time I have to board a plane, death won’t be my first thought.
OH YEAH! I’ve just been informed that the princess is awake! I’ll post more in the days ahead. It’s so nice to be back online with high speed internet, in a country that doesn’t block access to blogs and Facebook. Mike and I have never been more grateful to live in America!! I’ll share more thoughts on that subject later.
And as soon as I get our pictures taken at the airport back from our photographer, I’ll post some of those as well. :)
